Kroger, Gardis & Regas (KGR) lawyers regularly conduct high-profile investigations. When a crisis hits your organization, we have the experience and skill to uncover the truth and advise your organization on the difficult choices that must be made to get back on the right path. Whether you are faced with potential ethical lapses, misfeasance, or regulatory failures, we are able to help with crisis management in Indianapolis and across the U.S.
Jim Knauer has led many of the largest financial investigations in Indiana. As a Federal Receiver in cases brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Jim investigated a Ponzi scheme which defrauded investors of over $100 million. Jim was counsel for the receiver in one of the largest operating receiverships in Indiana history. He was the trustee for the largest buyer and seller of cattle in the United States, which was placed into bankruptcy after the discovery of a massive check kiting scheme.
KGR partner Bill Bock has led successful investigative efforts in globally known matters such as the investigation of Lance Armstrong and the U.S. Postal Service Cycling team and the investigation of drug use in sport arising from the BALCO doping conspiracy. As a result, Bill has become a frequent speaker on ethical issues at business seminars and corporate retreats.
