Living Will

Whether you need wealth transfer advice, administration of a trust or guidance regarding the management of personal affairs, our Indy-based attorneys are ready to assist you with estate planning.

For clients seeking wealth transfer advice, we learn about you, study your personal situation and only then recommend the appropriate vehicle to preserve your legacy. We have the experience to recommend and prepare the best match for your situation. Of course we regularly draft wills, but an estate plan often goes well beyond that, to consideration of revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts and lead trusts, education trusts, special needs trusts for disabled individuals, personal residence trusts and the establishment of personal foundations.

Often we counsel our wealth transfer clients to consider succession planning for closely held businesses, as well as the management and preservation of business interests and the fiduciary duties that accompany closely-held businesses.

If your estate planning concerns go beyond wealth transfer, to more personal matters, we can walk you through the establishment of durable powers of attorney, healthcare powers of attorney, living wills, guardianships and conservatorships.

We regularly represent individual and corporate fiduciaries in connection with trust, estate and guardianship administration, post-mortem planning and general estate and trust administration, including probate and trust litigation and fiduciary tax matters.

Our team includes partners Melissa (De Groff) McCarty, David Wright and Brian Bosma.
