7 Attorneys from KGR Recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© 2019

Brian Bosma was selected for The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Government Relations Practice and Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law.  With a background in engineering, business and government, Mr. Bosma’s practice is concentrated in the areas of complex business and municipal transactions, municipal bonds and economic development matters. In addition to his legal practice, Brian has been a member of the Indiana House of Representatives since 1986 and is completing his fifth term as Speaker of the House.
Greg Cafouros was selected for his Environmental Law expertise by The Best Lawyers in America©.  Greg also uses his background as a professional engineer in his construction law practice, as well as in business litigation, real estate law, land use and zoning.  He has been a certified mediator since 1996.   Greg takes his dedication beyond the office by participating in environmental efforts through the Indy Parks Foundation, and enjoys hiking in Eagle Creek Park and cruising around the Reservoir.
Jay Kennedy is celebrating 10 years on The Best Lawyers in America© list and has been selected for three categories: Banking and Finance Law, Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, and Litigation – Banking and Finance. Jay has represented lenders, bankruptcy trustees and court appointed receivers in a multitude of different situations. Jay recently returned from a year-long sabbatical after traveling the United States with his wife, dog, camper, kayaks, and bikes.
Madalyn Kinsey has been on The Best Lawyers in America© list for 15 years in the area of Banking and Finance Law. As former Senior Counsel for JPMorgan Chase Bank and Bank of America, Madalyn gained valuable insight into the needs of her bank clients.  Outside of Banking and Finance Law, Madalyn also practices in commercial and real estate lending, business transactions, bankruptcy and creditors’ right and commercial leasing.  Madalyn is also an author and recently published her fourth book I’ll Go to the Gym When I Lose Weight.
Since 1987 Jim Knauer has been selected for The Best Lawyers in America© list both for Litigation – Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. Jim regularly serves as receiver or trustee in high profile cases in addition to representation of debtors and creditors. He recently concluded service as Trustee of Eastern Livestock Co., one of the largest feeder-cattle buyers in the country. In addition, Jim practices in business litigation, receiverships, business contracts, secured transactions, and real estate and loan documentation and restructuring. In his little spare time he is working to regain his 6 handicap.
Jim Lauck made the list for Banking and Finance Law and Litigation – Banking and Finance. He also practices in real estate and foreclosure law, commercial and consumer recovery and workouts.  Outside of the firm, Jim serves as an Administrative Law Judge for the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.  Jim has a passion for art and he selected many of the pieces of art in the Firm’s office.
David Wright was selected for Corporate Compliance Law. David primarily practices in business-related litigation focusing on minority shareholders, banking, corporations, partnerships, employment, professional liability, estates and fiduciary issues.  During his 41 years as an attorney, David has fought for his clients up to the Indiana Supreme Court level.  When he isn’t working hard for his clients, David’s favorite thing to do is spend time engineering fond memories with his grandson, granddaughter and their families.
